As many other churches are doing in this season we are having our meeting's online each sunday, you can follow them on our facebook page facebook page, or on our kingschurch live section of our website from 10:30am each Sunday!
We believe that as we gather together to worship, God is with us in a profound way. For this reason, our Sunday meetings are a key part of church life, enabling us to grow in our understanding and experience of God’s life-giving love and power.
What to Expect
We welcome everyone and aim to make our meetings as relaxed and as visitor-friendly as we can. We start at 10:30am with a brief introduction and explanation of what is going to happen, then have a time of corporate sung worship led by a contemporary-style band. During this time people are free to stand, sit, just observe, or engage in worship however they feel most comfortable. At 10:50am the children’s activities start and parents are able to drop their children off there if they want to. Each week there is a relevant talk from the Bible which will encourage application to our lives. We end the meeting at around 12 noon, often with a song and an opportunity for prayer. Then afterwards there is plenty of time to stay around and get to know people better over tea, coffee and biscuits.
Children and Youth
One of our aims at King’s Church is to help our children discover relationship with God in a fun and engaging way. We want to give them knowledge and understanding of the gospel, allowing them to get to know God for themselves. We aim to provide children with something that is accessible and meaningful, whatever their age, showing them that Jesus is real and that He cares for them.
Acorns and Explorers
In order for this to happen we run children’s work during part of our Sunday meeting. Our Acorns group is for preschool age children and Explorers for primary school age. These start at 10:50 am and run for just over an hour until the adult meeting has finished.
We want to encourage our youth to explore questions about faith and go deeper in their relationship with Jesus. For those in school years 6 to 9 we make space for this on a Sunday morning during the service every fortnight. The group starts at 10:50 am and runs for just over an hour until the adult meeting has finished.
All of the children's teams are DBS checked and adhere to the King's Church Leicester Safeguarding Policy.
